Call to Action – APPEC to appear in front of the Ontario Court of Appeal in Toronto, Wednesday April 6 10 a.m.

On Wednesday morning at 10 a.m., APPEC will appear before the Ontario Court of Appeal. The Court agreed to a hearing soon after receiving an application from APPEC’s lawyer Eric Gillespie.

Blanding’s Turtles were out of hibernation early this year. IWT developer wpd has begun vegetation clearing yesterday, thus posing a danger to the survival of the turtle. The Blanding’s turtle is currently listed as Threatened under the Ontario Endangered Species Act and Threatened under the federal Species at Risk Act.

The Court of Appeal hearing is at 10 a.m. at Osgoode Hall in Court Room # 7. Osgoode Hall is at 130 Queen St. W., Toronto (southwest corner of University and Queen Street).

All those who are able, are encouraged to attend the hearing.
